Caen Hill (Friday 20th May 2016)
Today I went back to Caen Hill for the first time since the time when the swans lost a cygnet and nearly lost another. I found them in Caen Hill Moorings, a safe distance from the treacherous sluice, and was pleased to see how much the cygnets had grown. They were visiting all the houseboats and were thrown food by a couple of the occupants.
I took a lot of shots but had accidentally set the dial on one camera to Tv priority with a slow shutter setting so most of them were rubbish. I also had to use the Basic Uploader so am stuck with the default centralized thumbnail.

Chér - Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) (recorded 11 February 1966, Gold Star Studios, Hollywood CA)
Chér is seventy years old today, as she was born 20 May 1946 in El Centro CA. This song was written for her by Sonny Bono and was a big hit for her in the UK and the US in 1966, though these days Nancy Sinatra's later version is better known, thanks to Quentin Tarantino including it on the film soundtrack to Kill Bill Vol. 1 in 2003.
