Gifts and flowers

You'll not be surprised to hear we came fourth in the quiz again!!!!! However, we did win a bottle of,wine and a fiver, so that was better than nothing ;-)

Another busy day.
Firstly off to Toys R Us to get both Olivia and Idabellas birthday presents, as it's their joint birthday party on Sunday.

Another visit to a local garden centre as we need some new window box liners.......bought an assortment of alpine plants too, as the birds have caused havoc with ours which are planted in a trough under the front window! Snapped this beautiful foxglove whilst we were there, so pretty don't you think?!

After a sandwich we changed into our gardening clothes. Hub make up the planting mix, bought compost with our own compost and some top soil, with growmore too.
I started on the front gardens hanging baskets and the two wall troughs, followed by two more baskets for the back garden.
It's amazing how many plants each large hanging basket actually takes isn't it!!!

I also planted up two terracotta tubs with pale lilac geraniums and white nemesia, which smell gorgeous!!

Hub was weeding the front garden whilst I was in the back.

We called it a day at 6 as we were both feeling our backs and it was spitting with rain!!

After an hour relaxing, I sorted out dinner.
We had pan fried cod, with lemon and black pepper butter, jacket potatoes, green beans and tomatoe....lovely ;-)

More catching up with recorded TV tonight and probably a little tipple ;-)

Think we'll sleep well tonight ;-)
