Helping
She slept well last night. Utter exhaustion and calpol combined meant she had a really good rest. I took her in to my bed at my bedtime (as she'd made me promise to) and she just said "Mummy!" with such joy and snuggled so tightly. Then slept.
There were tears this morning, but much calmer tears. Last night, the actual departure of Ernie from the house broke her, she took it so hard. Until then, she'd had a lot of cuddles with him in the lounge, a few tears. She had sat stroking him basically the whole time she was home from school. But when it was time for him to leave, she lost it and it took a very long time to calm her. I took her into her room and surrounded her with the most special soft friends we both have, then cuddled her to sleep in the end.
She did well after school, I made sure to keep her busy. We had little friend visiting as usual. We are garden-sitting for her piano teacher for a few days so we went to do the watering. They had a great time playing in the garden and taking care of the amazing selection of plants, fruit, vegetables.
She hand fed Mrs Bert when we got back. Mrs Bert is doing better today, eating more than just what I feed her by hand, and taking care of herself ok. She's not quite herself though.
The girls both had tea and little one carried on eating whilst Katie had a clarinet practice. She went and read in her room whilst I bathed the baby & put her to bed then we snuggled with a DVD on Katie's bed for half an hour.
