Up for the Cup

Oh no, I thought, another sawfly. Not much chance of identifying these little guys. But I was wrong. The stripy football socks on the rear legs of the Rose Sawfly are a dead giveaway. Which raises the question - why don't (English) football teams wear stripy socks any more?
