Winter Finally Arrives!!

Winter finally arrived with a bang today. I woke at 5.30am with the sound of rain and by 6am it was so heavy I couldn't get back to sleep.

It only let up a couple of times all day and then only for short periods. This is the heavy soaking rain we've longed for but with it came very strong winds which have knocked down trees and ripped off roofs and cut the power for many people!

Tonight things are quiet, a few showers have gone through and it's very very cold just 13c brrrrr! But oh it's lovely to feel cold!! ; o )

Needless to say I couldn't get a good shot of anything at all really, this was at the lights somewhere and just a quick snap with the phone. Everywhere we went there were trees down and massive puddles and I just couldn't get a good shot of any of it!!
