Acer japonicum and ....

I wish I knew what this deciduous small tree/ shrub was " A " got it for me it didn't say what it was , ie no label , the leaves are so pretty but I just can't find out its name. I've looked in the RHS Gardeners' Encyclopedia , may be someone out there will have more success.

Happy ..... that my leg feels so much better today. Don't know what happened !!
