a new colour...

...for me. Every year we get lots of self-set aquilegias and they're usually a very pretty dusty pink. But I noticed this one today, standing tall and elegant in the front of the border. At first glance I thought it was blue but on closer inspection it's a deep blue/purple.
Raining again today so I made a patchwork cushion cover out of odds and sods and cut out Jim's purple fleece (his favourite colour) and he's asked for green stripes too - I shall have to think about how to do that...
