Akmens tilts

Well this trip is almost over. Leaving Rīga tomorrow afternoon.

I'm glad I came, for several reasons. Too many to bore you with.

The Blip is the view out of the "observation car" of a No 5 tram as it crosses the Akmens bridge over the Daugava. The old town is on the side in that view. My apartment is on the other, obviously.

A lovely scene tonight. (One reason I'm glad I came.)

I remember it well in mid winter with snow, temperatures of -10ºc, and an icy north wind blowing up river from the Baltic.
