Day trip to York

A quick day trip to York (as you do after four hours sleep) to see Granny and Grandad. Weather was dry if a bit bracing at times. We managed the open top tour bus, most of the Castle Museum and a wander along the walls, past the Minster and down the Shambles, stopping for ice cream on the way.

Kids were great on the train both ways. Definitely helps that they both love to read and are happy to do it for hours on end. This picture wasn't staged at all, Carys was laughing about something in her book, as for Will, what can I say?!
