Tunnel..

Yay, finished the last bed today.

The beds have been weeded and dug over. The soil from the paths has been removed and placed in the beds. Manure has been mixed in, and I've started planting.. 23 cucumber plants at the far end of the central left bed. The edge left bed has been planted with tomatoes for some time, and they're growing well. The far right bed has salads and Mispoona growing.

I have courgettes and runner beans to plant in the remaining beds.The raised troughs are for strawberries, five to a trough, giving me 60 plants in total. Need to fill these with soil from somewhere!

J, A and D have been to a "Stronger Scotland" event in Lairg today. Giving a two minute presentation to explain the bid, and then voted for at the end of the all day meeting, "Eurovision" style. £15,000 was available with a maximum claim of £2,000 for any one project. There were 41 projects, asking for a total four times more than what was available. They put the case forward well, and were granted the full £2,000, monies which will be spent upgrading the village hall toilets, so that we can meet the entertainments licence standards.
