Upcycling.

Transformation of a cheep as chips white plastic photo frame.  That was the theme of a workshop that myself and a colleague have been running today.  The frame was painted with black gesso, then the moulding around the edge highlighted with gilding wax.  The flowers and leaves were cut from black card and embossed, then they were highlighted with gilding wax before being stuck to the frame.  So simple yet so effective.  I am pleased to say everyone on the workshop thoroughly enjoyed the day ( which is always a relief) and turned out some amazing work.
