Laetiporus sulphureus

While walking the dogs I noticed this juvenile yellow bracket fungus (I believe it is) growing on a tree trunk. It's a first for me and it's nice to see some new fungi at this time of year. It's all happening over the common at the moment: yesterday I saw not one but two cuckoos. Even more excitingly, this morning I heard one in the garden. I didn't get to see it but I will be keeping an eye out.

Anyway, this morning Kyla and I had planned to go for a bike ride but she wasn't feeling up to it so we had coffee and a good old chinwag instead. Then I had a study afternoon and Mr DawnAgain returned.
