On The Trail of The Stick Man
Breakfast was traditional, cooked and delicious - even if I do say so myself! The following swim, was wet, splashy and fun, especially for Master H who is clearly gaining in confidence with the water. Lunch consisted of birthday cake, not traditional for a Sunday, but nevertheless fun.
The weather remained resolutely sunny and unusually warm, so we headed to the shade of High Lodge, Thetford Forest and more fun on the Stick Man (of Julia Donaldson fame) Trail. It was a long and enjoyable short walk through the trees, featuring many and varied diversions for the children, from climbing frames, woodland musical instruments to slides and ropes.
The cafe unfortunately decided closing early was the order of the day, so we had a search elsewhere for Sunday tea. Otherwise, a superb end to a warm, sunny, fun weekend away for the family.
PS: Miss C is keen to return for the Go Ape tree trail. No doubt, I will have to accompany her into the trees!!
