MEDIAEVAL FAIR

Today we caught a train to Ipswich to see Day 2 of their annual mediaeval fair - or 'fayre' as they like to spell it. Good fun and a generous expansion of the time frame  for that period in history. ( We saw Batman and Robin!] 
There were archers, armorers, swordsmen, a wood turner using an ingenious foot operated lathe, and this lovely lady playing gentle tunes on her harp.  Lots of mediaevalists who like to play dress-ups and put on chain-mail too.
