Back to Grasmere
With the A591 reopened, access to the Southern Lake District is easy again, so a trip to Grasmere was in order.
The forecast was for overcast and showery conditions, but the day was better than we dared hope, the rain not really arriving until about 3 in the afternoon.
We did pop into Rydal Hall to see the (remarkably dry) waterfall and Grot, and I had a chuckle at the sign by their quiet garden, saying the grounds were closed because of a dangerous tree! (I've not yet been attacked by a tree, but there's always a first time!)
