My mother's favourite

This rose is from David Austin, called L.D. Braithwaite. It is an old fashioned one, with seemingly hundreds of petals in each flower. Yes, the scent is wonderful, especially on a hot day like today!
My mother loved her roses and this summer they are flowering without her tender care.
I enjoyed spending time in her garden today, knowing that soon it will belong to someone else and although this is a good thing, we won't be able to keep our eye on her roses anymore.
