Purple Patch

Drove to Loch of the Lowes this afternoon (in the rain) hoping to check up on how the ospreys are doing, but couldn't even get parked as the place was heaving.  On to Dunkeld - same story!  It's not even summer yet, so where are all these people coming from?  Must be the effect of the wonderful new BBC series about the Highlands:-)

With the rain stotting off the road, there seemed little point in going elsewhere so we just came home again.  Of course, the sun came out five minutes later!

Fortunately, I had popped into the garden earlier to take several photos of the plants with various shades of purple, as a companion to yesterday's pink ones.  So you have another collage - before the rain!
