The Redpoll

As I mentioned yesterday we had the family for lunch today (my brother in law, nephew and nephew's partner);  it was so good to catch up and a bit of reminiscing was done too.  After they'd left I had a quick trip down to Cromwell Bottom and I wasn't disappointed, I've never actually seen Redpoll before today so I was so pleased to be able to blip one.   I only saw one, I hasten to say and the fact that unless you're looking hard they could be mistaken for sparrows is probably why I've not been aware of them previously.  It's made a very satisfying end to a very enjoyable day.
