You know...

.... you've found an absolutely amazing teacher when she face-times your little one for a lesson and a catch up all the way from India, even though she's poorly. Katie has been excited about this planned call for days. It took 15 minutes of texts to get it to cooperate, she was trying hard to be patient as we worked on it! Eventually they had over 40 minutes including chatting, pulling faces, laughing so much and then a lesson. Katie played a selection of the things she's worked so hard on the last 3 weeks. B was really thrilled to hear for herself how much she's come on and was able to chat through a couple of things with her. This morning, we had emailed her a completed theory paper so they were able to talk together about that and B sent her "Virtual sticker stars". Katie asked about the heat and the food, B showed her the full moon over Delhi and told her how even in the day time she can't see the city from her beautiful hotel because its so smoggy and polluted. It's been amazing how small the world has felt in their time apart - they whatsapp each other every couple of days, and B emails me in between if there's things about Katie's progress she wants to chat about or such. Isn't technology great when it works?
