Bakewell Cake.....!

For tea....my friend visited this afternoon so I thought I'd better make a cake...this is our favourite at the moment and with a good shop- bought pastry! it can be in the oven in 5 minutes...
Cheating I know but still tastes better than anything I've eaten out!!....I didn't use almonds in this one just basic Madeira ..
Weather still very unsettled ....rain, hailstones, thunder and lightening..but it didn't seem to affect the golf so much today..the Irish Open that is...being played just down the road from us!
Delighted to see Rory McElroy win on home ground.....!!
It also meant indoor shopping for us today...although we made a couple of brief dashes outside to the plant sections...I bought a hanging basket and some Petunias and a Lupin plant....so will have to get busy again this week...
