Red Flag
For danger, at least at Culloden where red flags mark the position of the redcoats front line. The Scots, led by the the potential King James 8th, were roundly slaughtered by the Duke of Cumberland on April 16 1746. A sad end to a romantic escapade. We visited the site as part of a tourist day out. The hill behind the flag is Ben Wyvis. It's worth a visit and the audio guide is excellent.
