Purple Finch

My first decent photo of a purple finch (or possibly the first ever), at our Vermont feeder.  The extra is a ruby-throated hummingbird--not a wonderful perch but there's nothing better around its feeder.

This afternoon we went to a wonderful concert in nearby Stowe by Bella Voce, a women's chorus based in Vermont which sings a capella or with minimal accompaniment. Afterwards was dinner out, at an excellent restaurant in Stowe.
