Phuket day tour
We'd booked to do a private tour today to see the island of Phuket. Turned out it was only the south part, which was fine with us as we were exhausted by the heat. We realised that the rain over the last few days really brought the temps down.
We stopped by the viewpoint at Kata Noi looking out Karon Beach and Kata Beach. A lovely vantage point.
Then on to an elephant farm for elephant trekking which we really enjoyed. Extra pic is of us with Martin looking very comfortable up there feeding the elephant. He absolutely loves elephants.
Dropped in to a cashew factory where we saw the raw product through the different stages to packaging, lots of tasting happening along the way. Everything delicious. Did come away with a bag of goodies.
Our tour guide then took us to a very special and rustic, unusual local restaurant called 'Natural Restaurant' which was built around a few tree trunks, almost like Tarzan's tree house, built over different levels. It really was lovely and the food, delicious.
We'd had enough by this stage and headed back to our part of town.
It's been super hot throughout the day and we missed the showers for sure.
