Paeonia Ludlowii

This beautiful tree peony is growing in Greenbank Gardens.  According to Google, this shrub is endemic to South-East Tibet.  In Tibet it is known as lumaidao meaning 'God's Flower'
The ladies working in the gardens said that they had never seen so many flowers on the plant before.
