Meconopsis

I went to Harlow Carr expecting to see sheets of candelabra primula in flower - I'd forgotten that the stream side area is undergoing a major replanting, so this year the display is quite restrained.

But there was plenty to admire - some really vivid tulip planting, pink, orange and purple, very hot stuff.

I liked this mixed planting of blue poppies in the cooler area of the rock garden. 

We're back home now, the weeds are waiting.
