Parisian day trip

A very early start to the working week, with a 5 am alarm call ahead of a flight to Paris on a day trip. The reason was the unveiling and first viewing of Peugeot's new 3008, which I'm looking forward to driving ahead of its launch later this year.

It has one very novel feature, an optional plug-in electric scooter that charges as the car is driven, ready to be a handy commuter tool when the car is parked.

Leading the Peugeot team hosting us today was PR director Andrew, a man who fizzes with energy and has won an award as motor industry PR Man of the Year. Here he is with my colleague and good chum Maggie from Scotland. She and I often drive together and engage in lively debate about Scottish independence and Brexit.

When we were back at Paris airport ready for the flight home, you can see that a jovial mood prevailed!
