Lavender
I do love my lavender path. I've watched over the last couple of weeks as going from the top of the path down to the door, it's started to bloom. There are three plants left that are closest to the door, which have yet to blossom. I'm a bit nervous given that my inattention rendered me one laurel hedge down, but I'm assured that it gets less sun and will take a bit more time :-)
A beautiful and bright start to the day. I set my alarm for 5am, so that I could go for a run. I got up at 6:15am, realised how a) tired I was from the gym last night, and b) how sore my back is from lots of back walkover and backflips, and knew it wasn't going to happen ;-) I had a more leisurely start to the day, and even managed to fit in a blood test and be earlier than usual for work.
I found work hard today. Maybe it's just that Monday feeling. And the fact that my brain doesn't get used any more.
Two different people have asked me about Tim today- a friend at work and my godmother in NZ. Brings it all back I guess, the finality. It doesn't make me feel any better, but that's not their fault. I'm in that funny yo-yo phase- one minute feeling more optimistic, then feeling like it'll never get better.
Hurry up Wednesday.
