There was joy there was fun...
There were spiders in the sun.
and the only one I could find,
.... was having dinner!
The garden was teaming with wildlife at 5am and for once can say the shots I took mostly failed for lack of sleep and, so good to say it, too much light.
Sorry folks, I'm seriously busy, can't seem to get time during the day and can't get a decent openszone signal in the evenings. It's not unusual for me to get the odd few weeks like this here and there. I know it will all pass soon. I'm keep up with your journals after W. goes to bed but every time I try to comment I get logged off.
The weather is superb and wish my time were in the garden just now, but Jim and I had to do some urgent sheepy things to do this morning. Trying to catch them up on the hottest day of the year was destined, from the first moment they saw me, to be a no no and we failed. Although they are hand fed daily, they aren't used to being called to the bucket any longer and refused to be caught. I might have to start going up everyday with a bucket full of nuts, as I used to, so they don't get the heebie jeebies when they see me!
Cocoa got stung by a bee for the first time this afternoon. Poor little mite, but it was quite comical. He jumped an insane distance into my arms and was not going to let me put him down. I found the barb with its sack attached and still pumping in the poison, removed it and the dog was fine. I also gave him an apis mel. Believe in homeopathy or not, if you are stung by a bee... try it it works. I always keep it at hand and if I get stung it's the first thing I reach for. I keep bees, expect the odd sting here and there, but it doesn't make them less painful for repetition!
