Traumatised
I have been off the knitting for some time - quite a long time. After several months I got out a sock to finish when we last went off in the van. It actually was finished at the weekend. Yesterday I determined to get back to knitting and to put in an effort to complete a blanket I started a few years ago. The long story is in the blog but the short story is:
project plan, huge project , staged yarn purchase, some small progress, yarn supplier giving up the business.
The project requires upwards of 600 (I haven't done the actual maths, too scared) "hexapuffs" - little knitted hexagons with wadding stuffed inside. I have 42 so far and a small stash of the Colinette "Art" yarn that I am using.
I'll be lucky to end up with a lap blanket - see extra pic for the state of my project stash!
Now I have to decide whether it is worth pushing on or not. The thing is, I really was hoping to have the extra warmth in the RV for next winter - we'll be needing it.
