Fallen Poppy

We usually think of poppies as representing 'the fallen' in wars and conflicts all over the world. Well, I found this poppy, bent over and fallen, in the front garden. I don't know whether a passing cat or fox had bent it double overnight or if it had succumbed to the brisk wind this morning. Either way, I rescued it and brought it indoors to become my photograph of the day.
