Winston

I got chatting to the owner of this rather splendid dog sitting outside Waitrose. I suspect the owner is of Brexit persuasion as the dog carried an English flag on his lead but we did not discuss politics.  Winston is a 3 yr old English Bulldog. He is 6.5 stone which must be all muscle.  We discussed his set back nose and his over-bite. The dogs were used to bait bulls but that was stopped 100s of years ago . The current breed is the cross between the aggressive Olde English Bulldog and a Pug which has given rise to a short strong dog that is very gentle.  You just can't stop owners chatting about their dogs while Winston obligingly posed for the camera.
