Orkney, day 3

Broch of Gurness, a mooch around Kirkwall and it's beautiful cathedral of St Magnus and then a tour of Maes Howe chambered cairn. Maes Howe  is another of Orkney's amazing structures with a high corbelled chamber 4.7 m square and later Viking runic graffiti. The guide was one of the best I have heard, knowledgeable, entertaining and fresh, not the usual dumbed down, tired spiel.
A couple of sketches today to be uploaded later. (done)
