Island Trip

An organised trip into the old town area of Cannes by tourist train this morning! It was perched on top of a hill, so we were pleased to have the train ride up but opted to walk down so that we could explore the tiny roads and alleyways. 

In the afternoon, we decided to take a boat trip to one of the two nearby islands - Sainte-Marguerite. It was a lovely trip with gorgeous blue skies! We could hear insects buzzing and smell the pines - it was so unmistakeably and wonderfully Provence! I loved it! Scrambling over an old fort, walking through the pine forest, breathtaking views from the sea shore - what's not to love?


We caught the last boat back, so we had to head out for a late dinner and now it's time for bed, so that we can enjoy the last day of our holiday tomorrow.
