Endurance at the RGS

We are here at the Royal Geographical Society for the 'Best of Kendal' films evening, raising funds for Community Action Nepal. 

Tucked in the corner is a splendid model of the Endurance that I thought deserved a blip. Shackletons 'state-of-the-art' vessel built and equipped for the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1914 that unfortunately ended up crushed by the ice in the Weddell sea.
