St Kilda

Our first day in Melbourne was spent looking around St Kilda where are hostel is located. St Kilda is not only a short tram journey from central Melbourne but it is also situated on the beach- best of both worlds! The town has a lovely relaxing atmosphere- full of little cosy cafes, fashion boutiques and quirky book stores. Melbourne is famous for their coffee, so obviously we had to go and see if this was true (followed by some cake..) it was very nice!
This photo is of Luna Park- a historic amusement park by the beach, which opened in 1912. I found the entrance 'Mr Moon' a little creepy...
