Overstrand Cricket Pavilion

A while ago I was talking to someone who has lived a cricket ball's throw from this pavilion since he was a young child (having moved back from Malaysia where his family were ex-pats). He remembers going to bed while it was still light on a perfect summer's evening (such as they had in the 50s and 60s), and listening to the sounds of leather on willow... and being enthralled by the players' broad Norfolk accents.

Today I... went to the dentist for a hygienist visit, walked to Overstrand and bought crab for tonight's supper, caught up with laundry and correspondence. It was cold and damp today but everything is lush and green.
