A walk round .....

..... Salisbury cathedral!
We had an interesting day , but still loads more to see, sadly no time this visit.
To see a model of the cathedral under construction was amazing. To think without machinery this was possible! The medieval clock 1386 is the worlds oldest working mechanical clock- it has ticked more than 4.4 billion times since it was built.
The font designed by William Pye for the 750 th anniversary in 2008 , the Archbishop of Canterbury baptised 2 babies when he dedicated it in that year.
The photo of my cousin, her husband and " A " is taken in the cathedral ground by one of the amazing Chestnut trees.

Happy ..... to have been able to share a brilliant day in the company of others in such a beautiful place .
