Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

Backblip........with both of us having head colds it was timely that our trip to Cornwall started on Sunday. We had a good drive down stopping at Darts Farm in Topsham for a lovely brunch. 
We had booked a "Taste of the Bay" three nights away at Watergate Bay hotel near Newquay. This means you eat in three excellent restaurants in the Bay during your stay. This also means you can stumble to your bed post vino and resembling a beached whale due to the volume of food concerned. My kind of holiday. 

This is taken on the beach below the hotel just before a keen wave soaked my feet and jeans (luckily I had a spare pair of walking boots in the car).

Dinner was in Zachary's and was delicious. Highspots of the meal were asparagus with a hollandaise and truffle sauce and the rhubarb fool which was so light it floated off the plate.
