Michelle Wie with a Wedge

40 miles away from me is one of the most liberal cities in America. Ann Arbor (A-squared), home to the University of Michigan. But, this week, the city is hosting the LPGA, the ladies professional golf association.

On the practice days of tournament week, you can bring your camera in. On Thursday-Sunday, you can't.

I walked all 18 holes with Michelle Wie, Lexi Thompson, and Paula Creamer (among others.) The lady professionals were teamed with 4 amateur golfers. Some of the non-pros were VERY good, but some were close to being awful. The amateurs pay a BIG price for the privilege of playing. I think it is 3,000 dollars. I was quite brazen in shooting the lady pros, but tried to hide behind a tree when the others teed up.
