Let them eat cake

These are no-faff cakes from my 'baking magic' book. They don't look quite as good as the ones in the book, but they look not bad, and taste not bad either. They're for tomorrow's tennis tea, but obviously we had to test them.

Oh, and I made them in the space created by the postponement of the book group as one chum had to work. Just as well as I'd only made it to 80% of Half of a Yellow Sun (!). I have 3 weeks now to finish!
