A beautiful day so I followed Toff's advice, and yours, and spent most of the day sitting in the garden, just watching and listening to all the birds and insects going about their business...

The only drama was when a Sparrowhawk descended and made two unsuccessful attempts to make off with one of the young Starlings in the garden. I then sat and watched him as he flew away and rode the thermals, climbing higher and higher into the blue sky...

The garden is gradually filling with colour again. It's really starting to feel like Summer…
