One little duckling .....

..... standing all alone .... but never fear mum and the rest of the family weren't too far away.

At first I thought the ducklings had all been taken as there was no sign of them on the small pond but as the dogs and I walked down to the large pond the wee family suddenly appeared from the reeds.  Their number has been reduced from 12 to 7.  The ducklings are getting bigger and stronger but will be unable to fly for sometime so they are still an easy target.
