The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Wednesday 25th May 2016)

Testing my 55-300 mm lens, designed for use on APS-C crop cameras (as equivalent to 82-450 mm), on my K-1, a full-frame camera. There was the expected vignetting on some shots, which one could see in the viewfinder, but on the whole it performed well, adding greatly to its versatility. Having in effect 55-450 mm in one lens means on occasion not needing to carry more than one camera.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Carey Mulligan - Let No Man Steal Your Thyme (2015)
This beautiful rendition of the old traditional folk ballad played over the end credits of the film Far From The Madding Crowd, which I saw on this evening. It is sung by Carey Mulligan who plays Bathsheba Everdene and had sung it in a different context during the film. On this version the orchestration and piano is by Craig Armstrong
