In the Japanese Zone!!
We had such a waarm summery day so made the most of the weather and did a new walk from home. It was around some of the lanes and the reservoir but from a different angle. We went down a very old overgrown track and spooked three guinea fowl at a nearby farm.
We paused in the Japanese Zone, a tiny part of the Forgotten Forest at the top of the reservoir where we enjoyed the buzzing of the bees amongst the blue alkanet and buttercups. This is a green-veined white butterfly although when took this I thought it was just a boring Cabbage White, but it looks much prettier with it's veins.
We had a thunderstorm and heavy rain late afternoon early evening and Hoping to go out east tomorrow if the weather is good and maybe see the 'handkerchief' tree if it's still alive. I shall report back with a blip if it's there and looks photo-worthy!
Next week will be my last week of hosting and the theme will be ART with the tag of mm123. Once again please feel free to interpret it in any way you like.
