I must stop reading that ladies suggestions.

We have a flower come out for the first time on one of the iris's we bought last year. It is very gaudy , bright yellow and dark red/brown petals, coloured veins and blotches and is the normal strange iris shape. Perfect subject for my current obsession with abstract views of flowers. I spent almost an hour circling this plant, checking low shots, taking high pictures, doing closeups, looking at various focus options etc. After all this effort and numerous attempts at a blip I gave up and returned to the orchard. Inspiration might strike tomorrow and the iris could be blipped or I could go back to doing sunsets.
