Some sort of bird

Two years ago today I had to have two operations in one day. As this is a much better day than that one I treated myself to a nice flapjack and a walk along the Water of Leith at lunchtime. Very nice. Going along to a friend's house now to gossip about the weekend.

I have no idea what this is - some sort of bird thing. Its a weird one I've not seen along this bit of the Water of Leith before.

I tell you what, it was cold out there snapping this bird.
