John Lewis had some olympic lego minifigs which, despite not having any interest i the olympics and being appalled at the whole corporate whoring that the government has been involved in, I couldn't resist as they are limited editions . Although if Team GB gets 4 gold medals this summer I'll be rather surprised.

went to 'Film Club' this evening, a gathering of colleagues who drink profusely whilst watching a film or two. The basic premise being that a theme is chosen, everyone brings a film that fits the theme and the host choose what to watch (and you can't bring s film if you mention it during the theme choosing conversation). This evening was a special occasion for the screening of 'Wages of Fear' (very worthy 1953French film set in South America about out of work truck drivers risking life and limb for a big payout). It was preceded by 'The Fifth Element' (hugely enjoyable action packed sci-fi blockbuster). A good evening overall, much Pimms, a few Daiquiris and lots of conversation, some film related, some not. Rolled home very late...
