Sawfly larvae

Looking around the garden, I discovered that most of the leaves on my gooseberry bush have disappeared over night!  A closer inspection revealed these rather pretty little caterpillars.  I was hoping that they would turn into some sort of very pretty butterfly, but unfortunately not.  It appears, according to google, to be sawfly larvae.  The adult is not as pretty as the caterpillar!  Oh well...
