I apologise now for a slightly morbid blip and also a truly terrible photograph.

My cat brought me this wonderful present at around 2am this morning. To my sister's mortification I insisted on taking a photograph of it before removing the corpse. The only problem was that I didn't want to get too close to it just in case it wasn't fully deceased.

Any ideas of what creature it is? We thought either; a vole or a bat with no wings.
