Shirking again

It's Friday, it's a Bank Holiday weekend, it's another day shirking from home.

When I moved into this house last September the garden (all 100+ ft of it) was chest high in brambles and weeds (some of the weeds being trees). Since then I have cleared the garden and am now going around digging out the brambles that have resprouted (as I knew they would), as well as removing the smaller trees.

I'm waiting for new gates to be fitted to allow direct access into the garden, rather than through the house. Once that is done I will be getting a tree surgeon in to deal with the remaining trees.

There's not a lot growing in the garden at the moment (other than the brambles and nettles that are getting attacked by me), but there are a couple of standard roses.
